accompanied by the delightful scouse rachel, the day started with lunch at canteen. nestled under the royal festival hall, canteen serves british hangover cures including pies and mash and bloody marys.
we opted for the 2 courses for £10 menu (served after 2pm). the scouser dined on chicken liver pate and mac and cheese and i went for beetroot (which was oddly yellow) and chard before demolishing a lamb pie with mash (which was creamy and well seasoned).
