the south bank show part 2 - sights along the river

after lunch we headed along the south bank of the thames taking in the second hand book stalls and the hotel boat on top of the queen elizabeth ii music hall (more info can be found at http://www.living-architecture.co.uk/).




we also stumbled upon the new entrance to blackfriars station which now spans the thames. it is a shame they haven't renamed the new station it blackfriars and bankside which would have given prominence to the growing south bank area. further info for transport geeks can be found at http://www.railway-technology.com/projects/london-blackfriars/
